matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code ("The Only Wizard Listed In the Yellow Pa)
But now it's threatening to come back. I'm almost welcoming the tickly cough I've had the past three days now.

Aside from that, I've managed to keep busy: Went to the library last night to return some books, and took out a few new ones, including Anne Rice's "The Mummy, or Ramses the Damned". This book got mentioned at the end of the Ancient Egyptian history course-on-CD I recently finished, and I thought I'd give it a try. Also finished reading Book 8 of "The Dresden Files", aka "Proven Guilty" last night.

Spoilerish for 'Proven Guilty' )

I'm even thinking of twitting the fans of the *other* wizard named Harry, when the next book comes out... by showing up at the release shenanigans for Book 7, in costume as Harry Dresden, stare confusedly at the line of people picking up their copies of the book, and then exclaim, "Hell's Bells, I'm thinking of the wrong wizard named Harry."

Finally have a title for my paranormal romance novel-in-progress, namely, "The Death God's Daughter and the Undead Prince". Not sure if this will be the final title for it, but it's something. I might have a series on my hands, since one of the supporting characters, a fellow with dragon's blood in his veins, keeps trying to take over the story, so I decided to give him a book of his own when I finish this one. I've got a title for that one already: "Dragon in Distress".

And I have an idea for a very funny fantasy/sci-fi-ish novel not related to the paranormal mafia family... this one, "A Stork for a Stock-Broker" deals with my personal guilty pleasure fanfic theme, and that's Mpreg. Basic plot for this one:

A hot-shot stock-broker gets stuck having to take the bus to work one day, and after insulting the very pregnant daughter of a Gypsy queen he's obliged to share a seat with, finds himself the victim of a very strange curse which leaves him stuck in the family way. But help arrives in the form of a very open-hearted female obstetrician who becomes more than just a care-giver to him...
