NaNo Day 23: Coming up for air

I'm woefully behind on my friends list, so I'll try to catch up today. Here be a long post, so get yourself some of your beverage of choice and a sandwich:

State of the NaNo:

I am officially on target with my word count, but I would like to get a day ahead, since tomorrow is going to be the start of the Thanksgiving week madness, and I may be too tired to get my word count in till Thursday onward:

38,802 / 50,000 (77.6%)

I've also posted chapter One, and hopefully will have chapter Two posted later tonight or sometime tomorrow, over here:'

And part of me has been edging towards getting into the Christmas spirit. For the heck of it, I hunted around on YouTube and found a Christmas special I thought had vanished, namely "Nestor the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey". It's basically the Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer storyline re-written to tell the story of the donkey who carried Mary to Bethlehem:

NaNo Day 23 and three quarters: Ahead by a day

40,054 / 50,000 (80.1%)

I am officially one day ahead on my projected word count. Not as much of a word cushion as I had wanted (I'd wanted to be ahead by two full days), but it will have to do in the days between now and Thanksgiving. Still, I'm amazed and relieved I got this far. The finish line is in sight.
