I have it on authority from another Merv organization player, via the MxO message board, that in-game!Flood, which my snarkiest Houseguest refers to as his "shadow self", actually *is* a Brit. Apparantly, there's a "Meet with Flood" mission (which I haven't/Sieges hasn't gotten yet. Does this have anything to do with the rebuffed proposal...?), and there's a brief sound clip of the Merv's 2IC speaking, and he's definately got a regal-sounding British accent.

Makes you wonder if there's something for real going on in there, when I figured that out *months* before I ever found this out.

And oh, the fun that ocurred when I made mimosas (with the alcohol-removed champagne) for dinner last night. I remember Flood delicately licking his chops last year, but at the time, I didn't realise that was the drink of choice of his "shadow self" either. Wierd. Utterly wierd. But very refreshing, too.

Yes, he snarked at me about the fact that the potable wasn't as potent as he would like it, so I reminded him that I took the Pledge a while back...

Fl: "Come now, it's Easter; can't you cut yourself some slack?"

Me: "No, and we've had this discussion before."

Fl: ::Sighs::
