Thrift store trip!
Jun. 12th, 2006 06:36 pmMy favorite place to shop: the Salvation Army Thrift Shop in Wilmington. I've gotten some incredible bargains there, and today was no exception.
Brought home a stack of Gilbert & Sullivan opera records, including "Iolanthe", "The Yeoman of the Guard" and "The Pirates of Penzance": someone must have gotten rid of their collection, but they're a welcome addition to mine!
Also got a used copy of the classic computer game "Myst", which is missing the user's manual. If someone could tell me where to find a PDF file or suchlike of it, you'll be forever in my gratitude.
Didn't find many books, or at least not many that I was interested in. There was one whole shelf *full* of ridiculous Harlequin "Texas Star" romance novels. Oyyyy, no wonder someone ditched them. But I did find an interesting-looking young adult fantasy novel "The Hounds of the Morrigan" by Pat O'Shea.
