fanficrants comes pretty close as a substitute, but it's not as well-organized:
Now, the thoughts that spawned this post came from something that popped into my head at work, a half-forgotten conversation in faction chat one night, when one of the newcomers asked us who our favorite "Matrix" series character was. Fortunately or unfortunately, GreatWyrm, my crew captain and he of the chat equivalent of a motor mouth, chimed in right away that he (IC) was his favorite "Matrix" character (a very GW-esque thing to say, because, IC, he just about defines "self-centered bastard", which torched off a debate whether player characters were canonic or not. I think I said something like, "If the Brothers Wachowski knew about some of the player characters on here, they'd die of shame. That goes for the lamer-gamers, the Zion kiddies, the Neo-wannabes and *cough*Gothique*cough*"
That got me to thinking: say that the Wachowskis decided to creat an anime series based off, say, Sieges's storyline (something I've daydreamed about). Considering the way some anime attracts badfic like a magnet attracts iron filings, I couldn't help thinking of the way she'd get badficced:
--Sieges has a makeover and starts dressing like a slut and listening to Brittany Spears instead of wearing her usual gothic-gangsterish attire and poring over the contents of the Construct Library when she isn't jacked into the Matrix. (In some ways, she reminds me a little of Hermione from the Harry Potter series, and since poor 'Mione tends to get mauled in this very way, I could see people doing that to her)
--Sieges/Morraeon femmeslash (Which would technically be masturbation, since Morrae is coded into Sieges's RSI; the fact that the two of them sometimes externalize their internal dialogue by talking to each other face to face in a mirror might confuse the fanbrats)
--Sieges/anyone smutfic including:
---S/GreatWyrm (because they don't get along at all, so it must be OMG TWOO WUB!!!!!11111 /sarcasm; that and GW appears to be asexual, and even if he wasn't, I don't want to think of that slimy bastard with *anyone*...)
---S/the Merovingian (Even if she *did* say she was almost willing to spend the night with her Boss in exchange for a favor she desired. I just don't want to think of those two together)
---S/RebekaStrife femmeslash (another player character and a member of the same faction; this wouldn't make sense anyway because 1.) Sieges is *STRAIGHT*. She likes guys. She likes gals as friends but nothing more. And for that matter, 2.) Rebeka has vampire and succubus coding, meaning to Morraeon, Sieges's dark half who consumes Exiles, she's almost a walking buffet. And 3). Morrae is phobic about sexual contact and tends to react rather badly if someone tries anything funny around her host: she's menaced her host's fiance, and she threatened to stick Commando code in NightTrace (another player character, a somewhat macho Machinist from Cuba) when he got a little fresh around Sieges. Rebeka is *NOT* going to survive something like that.
---S/Kabell (No. Just... no. He's her adoptive *FATHER*. He wouldn't approach her that way, and she sees him as "Dad". Maybe they aren't related by blood, but anything beyond that kind of relationship would constitute a form of incest.
---S/Anubis (I might have inadvertantly set myself up for this kind of fic, since Sieges has a kind of female knight-dark gentleman type love for him, but it's not the kind of thing that would happen since 1.) she has far too much respect for him and 2.) his RSI houses Marrith, the program that is Morrae's "progenitor", and thus, there's an odd sort of dysfunctional father-daughter relationship between the two, but nothing wierd or inappropriate.)
