matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Death with Umbrella)

I felt fine yesterday and for most of today. But right now, I'm shaking like a leaf. I know what's causing it, and it has everything to do with this new connection and this computer with it's one or two odd quirks that seem to have popped up. I'm afraid something will go wrong and it'll cost me more to fix it, and I haven't got a lot of money. Sure, my mom has said there's always the bit that I've got saved up, but I'm afraid to keep dipping into it. I just wish I knew someone close who knew how to fix these things; one of the reasons I decided that maybe getting into an AS support group might help, so I could meet more folks. But from what I've found, there don't seem to be any in the area for adults with AS, just parents of kids with it. I'm of a mind just to go to one of those, and see if it might not be able to gather some kind of information to help myself.

I don't know if you got my suggestion, but if you're having computer problems I highly recommend going to your nearest college computer lab, or the cyber cafe you've talked about, and ask around to see if there's
1) an "in-house" (school or cafe-related) techie you could borrow
2) a technical student who could use some experience.
It'll probably be cheaper than going through a company, and then you'll always have someone local to go to who knows your system.

Are you a member of any online AS groups? [livejournal.com profile] asperger is good; also there's the forums at WrongPlanet.com (or .net, I forget.)
