Change in the weather and a change in my schedule

Warm weather has descended on us: I had to take the flannel sheets off the bed the other night; I'll miss them till next fall (I love the feel of flannel). Now I'm trying to dig out my electric fans, but my dad seems to have buried them under the Christmas stuff.

And in other news, it looks like the Major is striking back after the store manager told him to lighten up: he left a note attached to the schedule stating 1.) we have to have our day off requests in by *Tuesday* of the previous week, when it used to be Thursday; and 2.) you can no longer call in for your hours. Now, I can bear with the first, but the second... what the yell do you do if you're out of town and you don't get in till late Sunday night for some reason?! And people accuse *me* of not living in the real world...

That's...unnerving. Have you seen "Shadow of the Vampire"? (I believe that's the name of it). It's "about" the making of Nosferatu, with John Malkovitch as Murnau and Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck. Pretty good from what I can remember of it (it's relatively recent, maybe 5-6 years old).

I believe I have heard of that one: I've heard a little bit about the trouble that went into the making of that movie, most notably the copyright infringement suit filed by Bram Stoker's widow. Didn't she insist on trying to buy up all the prints of the movie or something over-the-top like that?

Well, the movie is a lee-tle different than *that* (although I do believe you're right, which is why the movie is "Nosferatu" and not "Dracula") but I don't want to spoil it for you so I'll just hush up about it and wait for you to see it.
And we have GOT to meet on AIM sometime, luv, if only to say hello! It's been ages, and as much fun as creating epic comment-section threads in your LJ is, I dearly would love to "talk" to you again.
