Using my time off wisely
Jun. 12th, 2007 07:47 pmThe past two days, I've been making excellent progress on "An Issue of Blood" -- well, when I haven't been running errands in Lowell and elsewhere.
Yesterday: Made my semi-monthly trip to the Barnes & Noble in Burlington, where I found a book I've been looking for a while, though I'd given up the search, thinking it was out of print: the late, great Lloyd Alexander's "The Foundling and Other Tales of Prydain". The library had this one years ago, and I was always meaning to get it out, but then it mysteriously disappeared. I'm glad I found this one: it's a short little book of short stories set in the Prydain universe, mostly filling in the back stories of some of the characters from the Chronicles.
Today: Finally, *finally* "Blood and Chocolate" came out on DVD, and I think I rented the next to the last copy of it. I wanted to see this in the theatres, but it got past me somehow.
