matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Aeon Flux)

I discovered last night, when I was checking my email at the library that I had a Borders Bucks coupon for five dollars about to expire. So I made a quick trip up to Burlington with the express purpose of getting Richelle Mead's "Succubus On Top". I'm reading it's predecessor "Succubus Blues" and utterly enjoying it. I like Richelle's style: she's like a female answer to Jim Butcher.

I also needed to get some necessities at Wal-Mart (Underwear and mouthwash), but I also took advantage of the after-Christmas sales: my dad and I were taking down our Christmas tree the other night and he couldn't help noticing how faded and cracked a lot of our glass balls are getting. So, I picked up serveral nice sets of simple gold, silver and multi-colored glass balls for fifty cents a box!

Now I just have to do my exercises for the day, before tonight's episode of "Supernatural" comes on. One of said excercises, namely crawling the length of the house on my stomach (really! It seems that having someone with autism do this almost makes their brain review certain stages of its development and that helps it reset itself) has me often wondering just how small children can *do* that so tirelessly? I'm wondering if small kids are somehow proportionately stronger than adults. Hm... Either way, I'm starting to see some results already: the past couple of days at work, I've been less irritated by the noise level. I'm certainly not cured, and I doubt I'll really start to see any huge changes until I'm on the full-scale program, but it's a step in the right direction.

Huh. Weird. The human brain works in mysterious ways. I wonder if that sort of stuff would work on someone who, while not technically having Aspergers, isn't exactly neurotypical either. *shrugs* Regarding the crawling thing, it's probably because of the way we're put together . The adult human frame is geared towards being bipedal, but I'd imagine that babies are more flexible in that department (shorter limbs, more flexible joints, no kneecaps ect). There was a family in Turkey that walked on all fours but that was a pretty unique case.

I'm finding that if I turn my knees outward and push with the insides of my knees and with my toes, it's easier. The main issue appears to be pulling myself with my hands, but there again, most females have more lower body than upper-body strength. I'm still adjusting to it, and that's the whole idea with these exercises is to explore the strengths and weaknesses in the way my brain works and to help reinforce the weak areas.
