Human beings, aka Homo sapiens. 'Nuff said. We're incredibly intelligent, but we seem to waste that intelligence on devising new ways to hurt each other.

Hmm...my own personal answer would have to be cockroaches, but I see what you mean by homo sapiens as well.

Too true. I occasionally have a sneaking suspision that it's a particuarly warped form of 'built-in' population control. Lemmings run off cliffs, rodents kill their young, we kill each other (come to think of it, so do dolphins). *shrugs* Eh, I've been trying to figure out humanity for years and I still haven't got anywhere.
