matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Diary)

About a week back, the Herald published an interesting little article on the guff that gas station clerks have had to put up with from rude, nasty customers screaming at them on account of the rising fuel prices. It was something of a relief to see the Herald reporters turning their attention to people who all-too often get overlooked and abused by the people they're trying to serve, so I had to put in my two cents of gratitude and add in a word for grocery clerks like myself:

Ignore the troll who posted a comment to this ( I have a feeling it's one of my customers...). I'm proud of this letter and I've had four co-workers including two managers (my boss and "Joe the Angel", the assistant store-director) compliment me on it and thank me for writing "what's on everyone's minds" at work.

Great letter! As to the troll... :P I didn't even bother to read his/her "comment".

Heh, yeah, the troll was a case of un-called for criticism. And thanks! This is my first-time letter to an editor and I'm glad it's been received as well as it has by my peers.

Very well written letter!
I agree with you. I used to work retail (for many years...clothing stores mainly, and one terrible stint at a video store that shall remain nameless..) and the way people treat clerks is inexcusable. It's not the service people's fault that prices are high..come on!
