Fireworks galore!

A rain/wind/thunderstorm rattled through the area earlier tonight; we'd planned to go see the fireworks in Wilmington, but it looked like God and the gods' fireworks were going to steal the show. But nope! The pyrotechnics went off without a hitch.

Not sure if our town is having any Fourth of July festivities, due to some cutbacks in funding. I've heard a different rumor from just about everyone who mentioned it at work. If all else, there's always the Boston Pops concert on TV.

Hee... I'd love to see both happen at the same time (well, maybe some non-threatening heat lightning). True, the explosions sometimes overload me Aspie nerves, but thankfully I was having a very good day yesterday

I used to have to leave town on the fourth. The *booms* would just rattle me all to heck.

I have always envied Americans, to tell you the truth...you have such pride in your country and independent spirit, I really admire that. Apparently I was an immigrant to NYC from Ireland in a past life (I had a regression done..), and that makes a lot of sense.

Wow, that regression sounds like it was a real eye-opener: I've always been a bit skeptical of past-life claims (I've known too many people who all claimed to have been Joan of Arc. :: Rolls eyes:: ), but someone once told me I'm "an old soul waiting for the body to catch up with it". I'm not sure I believe that, but I'm open-minded enough to be intrigued by other people's discoveries about themselves
