matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Winchester father and sons)

The first five minutes had me sitting with my jaw at my ankles, never mind in my lap. Dean's back from the dead, whole and entire, almost like nothing had happened to him. And there's been a major personality flip-flop between the two brothers, which is kind of funny, since Jensen Ackles had originally auditioned for the part of Sam, but the casting director decided he'd be better as the snarkier brother. Now it's Sam who's the hellraiser (womanizing and all, owch!), while Dean is the psychically injured one trying to make sense of what's going. I remember reading somewhere that Eric Kripke had described Dean at this point as being like he'd escaped from "the worst POW camp ever", and how what happened to him in hell will be gradually revealed over the course of this season.

Sam has definately picked up some major demon-fighting mojo there. God knows what it is or where he got it, but again, it's gonna take all season for us to find out.

And after three years of demons and one false alarm...

We've got an *ANGEL*! Not a Martha Williamson angel, but probably closer to the real thing. I hope the keep the same actor and costume for said angel, since at least in terms of looks, he kind of reminds me of a cross between the graphic novel version and the movie versions of John Constantine.

And from the preview for next week: looks like we haven't seen the last of Agent Hendricks, the FBI agent that was on the boys' tail for three years till he had to work with them to deal with a sticky situation. Don't know how he survived the blast that killed him, but I'm glad he's back: He'd make a *GREAT* demon-hunter.

They got a lot of plot twists in the air already. I only hope they haven't set the bar too high for themselves.

I totally thought that too!

And the whole demons have been human once, that's from the Constantine movie. Of course, angels were human once in the film too, so maybe the angels in Supernatural had been human at one point as well.
