Loooong busy day...

matrixrefugeeAppointment in Lowell, work from 6 to closing (read three hours and forty-five minutes, and it was slooow since everyone and their brother was home watching the Red Sox play the Yankees), had dishes to wash when I got home... yep, so good to be able to sit in front of the comp for a few hours, chatting with friends and poking around Godawful.net...
It rained this morning, but the sun was coming out by the time I was heading home on the bus. The colored leaves on the trees are at their peak: in the words of "Mack", the legally blind-guy (he even calls himself "a blind guy", I kid you not!) who takes the bus a lot was commenting on this: "All these folks go up to Vermont to go leaf-peeking [ie, looking at the fall foliage]; I just hafta ride the bus." I wish this was an audio diary so I could replicate his unusual lilt of a voice, which only adds to his goofy, regular-guy charm.
"The Day After Tomorrow" FINALLY came out on DVD today: I nicked into Blockbuster and rented one of the laaast copies of it. I was aiming to get "The Nightmare Before Christmas", but it was out... again... and I've been back and forth three or four times trying to get it... At least the clerk there said he'd give me a jingle when it comes in again... I may have picked the wrong time to try getting it out!
