"LOTR: The Movie" Exhibit
Oct. 18th, 2004 12:07 amWow! Busy afternoon today: my parents and I went to the Boston Museum of Science this afternoon, specifically to see the special exhibit on the "Lord of the Rings" movies, featuring costumes, weapons, props and models used in the films, as well as a few clever interactive items, including a simple motion-capture studio, a photo studio where two people's pictures could be taken side-by-side with one of them seemingly shrunk down to hobbit size (via lens-distances and a few props: I managed to convince my dad to help me out with that; I'll post the pictures from that as soon as I can get 'em scanned), and a very funny scaling wall where you could see how you measure up to one of the Middle Earth beings: Somehow, perhaps because of the shoes I was wearing, I measured up to the Wizards! (My favorite character *is* Gandalf, after all!)
