Plan for today is: cleaning, including a bathroom and a bird cage, plus bringing some semblance of order to the bookcases and desks. I already brought some harmony to the non-computer desk in the computer room and took care of a couple disastrous bookcases in my room. I found a way to conserve space by taking the mass-market sized paperbacks and stacking them flat on the shelf, turned so that their long edge is perpendicular to the back of the bookcase, thus freeing up more space for the hardcovers and trade-size paperbacks. Only catch is, I have to pull the stacks of mass-market paperbacks out to see what's there, but that's a small price to pay when you have as many books as I do...
