Absurd thing that cheered me up

I'm not sure why this is funny, but it made me laugh. Might be the paradoxical nature of it. But... since today is National Doughnut Day, Dunkin' Donuts is giving away a free donut with every drink you buy, I decided to treat myself to one (okay, I'm trying to reduce my gluten intake since there's believed to be a link between gluten and autistic behavior, but one donut after a week of eating rice and popcorn in place of my usual carbs shouldn't undo the work, should it?). At the Dunkin's Downtown, they didn't have many left except for powdered sugar donuts, so I got a vanilla cream one...

And the powdered sugar managed to get all over me, on a day when I happened to be wearing a plain black tee shirt and black jeans. I looked down at myself and thought, "There is nothing more absurd than a goth who's just been eating a powdered sugar donut." And then I burst out laughing for the first time in days. It was totally absurd, but man, it felt good!
