:: Isn't sure why she chose one of her "Constantine" icons, but if the icon fits the mood::
Okay, ran out of emotional steam on that last entry, but I've got another head behind me.
I've said elsewhere that I consider myself pro-life, but I'm not *THAT* kind of pro-lifer. I'm not in favor of protesting in front of clinics which perform abortions. I'm definitely not in favor of blazoning those High Octane Nightmare Fuel pictures of aborted fetuses where everyone -- including young children -- can see them. Funny, the people who display these sort of pictures are also the sorts who froth at the mouth over violent movies and video games. Double standard much? I have to laugh when the people who screamed about the "SAW" movies or the "Grand Theft Auto" series wouldn't bat an eyelash over having those gruesome aborted fetus pictures where little John Paul and little Bernadette can see them. You ask me? I'd rather play GTA than look at any more aborted fetus pictures.
To be honest, some of my sympathy with some pro-lifers started to wane when I was suffering a particularly nasty bout of suicidal ideations a few years back. Some of my pro-life Christian friends were "Oh, it's not that bad, is it?" while my Pagan, atheist and Muslim friends offered me shoulders to cry on and (in the case of the Pagan and Muslim friends) offered to pray/cast spells for me. It's sometimes all I can do to keep from asking some pro-lifers, point blank:
"Okay. Say you're driving to a pro-life rally or to pray in front of a clinic, or whatever it is that you do, and you saw a person about to throw themselves off a bridge. What would you do? Would you do the right thing and stop to help the person, or would you just say a prayer or dial 911 on your cellphone and go on your merry way? Oh, and think about what you're going to say. Really think about it. No snap answers, plz."
