End of Year Roundup Meme
Dec. 14th, 2009 07:04 pmI *will* be posting an entry that isn't a meme of some kind shortly...
You know the drill: Post the first sentence in the first entry in your journal for each month.
January: It seems the second issue of the graphic novel version of Storm Front is being as hard to get as the second issue of TDF: Welcome to the Jungle was. Is any issue #2 of any TDF graphic novel cursed?? Odd.
February: I'm down to two wee ones and another rock egg I found. Just looking for a gold, a silver, or a paper now.
March: If you could ask your pet any question (and they could answer you), what would it be?
April: The walls are now sheetrocked and painted a lovely shade of pale moss-green, and we now have new windows and new light switches and electrical sockets
May: A real entry to come: drinking my morning green tea and feeding ye dragons...
June: We're in the last two months of MxO and it wouldn't be MxO without people going for each other's throats.
July: Does this remind any other Mecha-huggers of the scenes at the dinner table in a certain movie...?
August: A real post to come: these fellows need to be petted...
September: I figured I owed it to everyone to create some kind of master list of all the fragments I've written so far, and to put them in some semblance of order. Plus, I'll be adding a link to this master list to all my subsequent posts, for anyone coming into the series for the first time, who wants to catch up.
October: I joined [info]fanfic100 a few days ago... It's taking some time for the claim I posted to be processed, and I'll admit, I'm getting fidgety fingers. Call this an unofficial (for now) listing for this theme/prompt source which I'm applying to the project that has galvanized my creativity...
November: And I've made progress even in the first hours of NaNo'ing: Fittingly for Hallowe'en night, one bit dealt with death and a survivor grieving (yes, there is character death already in this fic), while another bit dealt with Enniel in a blood-stained bedsheet and a squicked Fuyutsuki finding out more than he'd like to, scientist that he is, about Grigori anatomy (could have everything to do with making these discoveries at an unholy hour of the night...).
December: A few things I forgot to mention about Mom's birthday on Sunday:
--Flurry the budgie was chattering up a storm during dinner: he's starting to talk! Not clearly, but he's getting there. So far he can say "Baby" and "Baby bird" and repeats it if you say it to him. I heard him say "Baby 'keet" and "parakeet", and we think we've heard him say "Good bird".
