CHALLENGE: A Dozen Fanfic Roses

I talked about doing a Valentine's Day challenge, and I even stumbled upon a now sadly defunct Valentine's challenge comm. I decided to post to it, but it's questionable how many people will see the fics on there (we'll see what happen). I did like their prompt list, so I decided to lift it (with a few tweaks)

I'm going to do something a little different this time than I did for the 12 Days of Fanfic: I'm going to offer a list of prompts, and you get to match a pairing or a character to them. Doesn't matter if more than one person asks for the same prompt:

01. chocolate hearts; conversation hearts
02. red; pink; colour
03. chamapagne; wine
04. kisses; I love you with all of my heart
05. candlelight; dinner for two
06. bubblebath; time alone with you
07. hugs; the best moments are with you
08. romance
09. smile; you light up my life
10. caresses; every touch you give me steals my breath away
11. silk sheets
12. date; romantic getaway
13. engagement ring, wedding band
14. attraction
15. passion; you set my blood on fire
16. cuddling
17. spa
18. a casual stroll through the park

If anyone wants to add some specifics to their selected prompts, feel free to to so. And they don't have to be romantic pairings, they cam reflect any sort of love: Friendship, family love, parent-child, brother-sister, bromance, romantic friendship, "friends with benefits"

Ooh, very nice!!! I've been wanting to write Joe and Jane again, and Darlene definitely needs some love: she tends to get passed over in favor of her brothers, poor kid. David and Teddy = weapons-grade cuteness, so they need to be included!

Hah! Magnificent choices! Re: Melisande/Phaedre: I've been thinking of writing femmeslash but couldn't for the life of me settle on a pairing, but this... is a perfect match of pairing and theme.

Re: Niko/Promise -- One of my OTPs especially after the personal and emotional hell they go through in Deathwish (which I recently finished: whoa... I like how it turned out!)

03. champagne; wine - Samwise and Rosie Cotton, because I don't know that it even exists anywhere.

Originally, I was going to close the challenge when I got up to a dozen, but then someone else suggested a thirteenth prompt... and then two YnM ideas of my own jumped into my head, so I decided, "Heck, let's go for Muraki's promised "million roses" (or close to it) and write something for every prompt that presents itself".

Hee, a definite and resounding "Yes!" -- I'd started mentally jotting a few lines that I had been planning to someday use in a TsuSoka fic, but I wasn't sure when that someday would be, but I guess it came sooner than I thought. I love it when good ideas find a good home....
