:: Goes to the woodshed, finds an oblong bit of ply-board, a can of red paint and a brush, along with a hammer and some nails::
:: Goes back to the porch, nails the board to one post supporting the porch roof, paints on the board: "Love Hotel"::
Me: :: Holding out the paintbrush handle-first to the Soul Reaper:: Okay, could you help me out here and add the kanjii? Make yourself useful for a change."
The Soul Reaper: :: Eyes the paintbrush:: "I *am* making myself useful: I'm watching for those damn fan-its and fandom fascists you hate so much, though they're not much fun."
Me: "Okay, I get the hint."
Also, since I've been writing a YnM fic featuring a younger (maybe age fifteen) and thus more innocent Muraki, we've had a younger (maybe age fifteen) and more innocent version of himself visiting us. Though oddly enough, the older and more decadent version is invisible to his younger self (don't ask me why). This has lead to some odd moments when younger!Muraki has given me a perplexed look when he catches me -- to his eyes -- talking to a spot above and in front of my head. When he'd moved on, this exchange took place:
Me: "Stop giving that poor kid That Look."
older!Muraki: :: Phony innocence:: "I wasn't giving him any sort of a look: you were looking at my glass eye again."
Me: "Don't try the word games with me, Kazutaka: I could see what you were thinking and if that kid has a hair out of place, a hangnail, anything like that and I don't know about it, you're banned from headspace. Again."
older!Muraki: :: Ignoring me:: "I do have to wonder... this action you're accusing me of considering, would it constitute molestation or masturbation?"
Me: :: Facepalming:: "Rrrrrggghhh..."
And then there were the various prompt comms I've been browsing and trying not to join, though I did join![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
10_shakespeare, though I'm still deciding what play to take quotes from and what fandom to write them in, though I'm inclined to take Sonnet 147 and write about a certain cute shinigami and his nemesis, especially since the last lines fit a certain devious energy vampire too well.... Then there was 10_whores, which sounds like a very interesting challenge: take one character, pair them with 10 other characters, write one fic for each. Which lead to Hal suggesting we inflict it on that cute shinigami and lead to me throwing a throw pillow at him.
