matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Flood_ORLY)

So, I've started bracing for the debacle I wrote about in the Signal Boost post I put up in the wee hours of yesterday morning, rolled up my sleeves today and set to the arduous task of importing my fanfics from FF.N to AO3. I am not abandoning the FF.N page just yet: if the Grammar Nazis, or as I started calling them the Grammar Einsatzgruppen (after the infamous mobile killing units which certain German Fascists deployed to destroy anyone deemed imperfect by Hitler and his goons) have their way with the site, I may stop uploading fics to it just as a matter of principle and to avoid being caught up in the onslaught. I'm going to be watching my FF.N page a little more closely, just to be on the safe side.

This isn't too much of an inconvenience: I've been meaning to move more of my fics to AO3 anyway, this just gives me every good reason to get moving and do it. I've got all the fics on there now that I really want to keep. There are a few mediocre fics that I've decided to limit to the FF.N page, and while it would hurt a little to see those vanish, it wouldn't be much of a loss. But the bulk of the "A.I." fics, the Matrix fics, the "Truman Show" sequel, the "Sandman" fics are all going to AO3. Now all I need to do is edit the information on each story and actually post them: that's going to be the real hard part. Thank heavens the folks at AO3 fixed the glitch that was making it impossible to import from FF.N, and just in time, too. I was worried I might have to import all those fics by hand, which would have been a pain to say the least.

Lordy - I've heard so many horrible things about those bloody FF.net Einsatzgruppen. I write a lot of Mature stuff (Robot porn at times, heh) and yeah. I fear the attack >.<

Yeah, I don't have very many mature fics, but I'd hate for them to be deleted by these jerks.

I've been x-posting everything everywhere, so not really an issue for me. XD (By the way, what's your nick on AO3? Also, heeeee, here's the drama llama icon! ^^)

AO3 is a very interesting place. I made my account before all this LU & LK madness, put some my fanfics there. hearing about RB, I quickly backed up all my fanfics at AO3, even if none of them is in English. Who knows that this stupid bot will run amok in other language category? Editing fanfics for AO3 is pretty tiring , though....

FYI, I found a very glaring error in LK's profile. And this person acts as a grammar nazi? O_o

::Laughs:: Gotta love it when a grammar Nazi makes a glaring grammar error. It's like some right-wing extremist being caught with their pants down. Practice what you preach much?

Below is quote from LK's profile page.

Think about it: You can always get a decent spellchecker or a professional (teacher, experienced beta reader etc.) to fix you’re errors.

BTW, LK's guide to titles and summaries is a nice mocking material :P
