Wow... two posts in as many days from me... cause for celebration...
I was up late last night and up early this morning, thus I ended up taking a nap this afternoon, to avoid feeling like a zombie... and in doing so, I ended up having a very strange dream...
In the dream... there was a RenFaire being held at the Topsfield Fairgrounds, and the three of us, my mom, dad and I, had somehow scored tickets. I was more or less in costume, as the BBC mini-series version of Steerpike (episode 4, pre-burning, thus minus the half-mask), and my dad, in the dream, was kidding me about it as the three of us were walking through a grassy area at the back of the fairground, past the Arena building and the area where the midway usually is during the autumn fair. All of a sudden, the sky goes dark with clouds, the wind picks up and starts to blow loose papers and leaves and whatnot around, and some horses hitched to a fence start to panic. There's a huge clap of thunder, and out the sky descends a hot air balloon, with an angel dressed in silver with wide gold wings riding in the basket, landing in the middle of some bare, packed dirt. The angel declared something in Hebrew (which I understood in the dream, but can't understand in real life, but I've since forgotten what was said). There is a flash of lightning that blinds us all and when the brightness cleared, the hot air balloon and the angel are gone.
But in the dirt, had been traced or burned several concentric circular lines of Hebrew text; I can't read Hebrew to save my life, but I could read it in the dream, and it turned out to be a chapter from the Book of Enoch describing the Grigori, as well as a Kabbalistic prayer of some kind. My dad started to quiz me about how I understood all this, but I woke up in the middle of it and I can't remember how that went.
I'm not sure what to make of it. I believe God speaks to us in dreams, but one has to determine how much of it is the message and how much of it is one's brain croggling it or getting creative. I'm not sure, in this case, what it all means: am I supposed to communicate with my own guardian angel more? Should I keep my mind open to any nudges from angelic messengers? Study Kabbala? (Go through with my loopy idea to costume as Steerpike, at Arisia or Boskone next year, since next year is the centennial of Mervyn Peake's birth??) If anyone has any thoughts, alternate interpretations, comments or insights on this dream, I'd be more than willing to hear them.

LOL - sounds like the type of dream I normally have ^.^
