matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Hey_Joe)

The bad news: I got referred to the wrong kind of neurologist; this particular doctor only treats physical problems, not behavioral things. Which means they're trying to find someone to work with me who's familiar with Asperger's Syndrome.

The arguably worse news: She was able to tell me that I have a touch of scoliosis. No big deal really, since I'm already fully grown and my posture is good thanks to the ballet lessons I took when I was growing up. I just have to watch it as I get older.

I just feel like, with all the other stuff I've got wrong with me physically and otherwise (depression, allergies, learning disability, AS, strabismus, lack of breast development), what man is going to want me to be the mother of his child (singular)?

I have moderate scoliosis too. I walk around like an old geezer. A lot of people have it, though.

Also you could try to get hormone therapy or breast implants. They might help. Maybe you have Turner's Syndrome? Who knows...

BTW I'm dirrenedo from the yahoo! group. Friend me plz!

Of all the reasons I've heard couples cite for choosing to have children, their partner's "clean genes" (or lack thereof)seldom apply.

Just because you have stuff wrong with you does not mean that you are "tainted" and will curse your children with those problems. Besides there are other qualities to being a parent that are far more important than that (one of these being the patience of Job). So no worries!

If you meet someone who really cares about you they shouldn't be hung up on all of your "wrongs" anyway. Anything less ain't worth having (as my old granny used to say)!
