matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Default)

... like I need a hole in my head. After the last produced episode of "Moonlight" aired last night, I've been fighting off a fanged plot-bunny, though I have a feeling the fankiddies have jumped on it already:

In last week's episode, Beth begged Mick to turn Josh to keep him from dying when the Columbian thugs kidnapped and shot him. I cheered not a litle when Mick refused; this week, when they recapped last week's episode, I cheered again and called out "He won't do it because this isn't 'Hellsing'." I'm thinking of writing a fic in which Beth has a series of dream-visions in which she gets a reality check on just why Mick wouldn't turn Josh. I'm also thinking maybe, just maaaaaybe I could sell it to the production execs on this series and tell them I'll write the script for it if the greedy grabbers in the WGA won't stop acting like bratty kids (Rant about the writers' strike in another entry).

I'm leery of venturing into ff.n's "Moonlight" section. I'm afraid of what I'll find there: Mick/little!Beth lolicon. Mick/Josef slash (Okay, I get s vibe that Josef swings both ways, and that he has a bit of an itch for Mick, but I have a feeling Mick wouldn't reciprocate). Mick/Josh slash. Coraline/Beth femmeslash. Mary Sue baby-bats.

This is why I stay far, far, away from fanfiction and fandom in general. Too many Rule 34's.

Rule 34's? I should know what those are, but it's escaping me...

Rule 34 of the Internet:

If it exists, there is porn of it.
