So, as has become a new tradition, my dad got free tickets to the Boston Pops concert in Hyannis, and we made plans to go yesterday
And then it rained like mad yesterday morning. The three of us got drenched just coming out of St. Mary's in Newton after Mass, and it kept coming down as my dad and I headed down to the Cape later that afternoon. We even stopped at a grocery store and got some cheap garbage bags to use as disposable rain gear.
The concert got started late and then it was cut short since the rain was just Not Letting Up. It would get lighter and then heavier, but it was also windy, which didn't really help matters, particularly when it came to Using an Umbrella. But we still had fun and we're likely to be back next year. I guess this makes us die hard fans of the Boston Pops, if we made it through a rainy concert.
