The Second Appointment

I went in for my second appointment with the nurse practitioner, about the AS testing. She seems to think I should go through the testing I did at Landmark School (back when I was twelve), but I'm a little hesitant about that. It just brings back memories I'd rather not have.

Not that they did, but when you're a kid and your parents are trying to figure out what makes you tick, it can feel like they're making the situation worse. The reason why she suggested this, is because I was a bit stubborn about some of the stuff on the tests, back then, and it skewed the results. I'm feeling a little guilty about that, when I know I shouldn't. I'll get past it.

The difference is that now you are an adult, and are more self-directed in your treatment. I know even the very word "testing" is anxiety-provoking for many people, including myself, but think of it as a positive step towards getting the right treatment.
