matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Hey_Joe)

Whoo... A long trip but a satisfying one...

I got to Lowell bright and early at 8.00, and even made it to Mass at St. Joseph's (no better way to start the day!). Next, I nipped into the CyberCafe and printed out some stuff for my mother. I managed to nip back to the bus stop with a whole ten minutes to spare before the Lahey Clinic/Burlington Mall bus showed up. When I got off at the Burlington Mall stop, my intention was to nip through the office park next door to get to the Burlington Mall Road and walk along it to the back driveway of Lahey Clinic. Good thing I had some extra time, since the bus arrived at 10.00 and my appointment was at 10.30: I got myself twisted around and had to ask someone to point me in the right direction.

I'm one step closer to getting the neuro-psyche testing (re)done: they now have a specialist for that at Lahey Clinic, so the nurse practitioner is supposed to set up an appointment for that, plus she's trying to find a support group for high-functioning people with Asperger's Syndrome. I go back there later in June... My mind is made up to do this, but my mindset is still "Erggh, do I want to go through *THAT* again?"

So, I rewarded myself for being a trooper about having the testing (re)done, by poking around the Burlington Mall for the twenty minutes or so I had laid over before the noon bus back downtown came. I poked around the Waldenbooks there, also an EB Games, where I got the strategy guide for the Matrix Online, just to see what tidbits of information I can mine out of it to be recycled in DegSep ((More about that in another post)).

And I made my once-a-month trip to Larry's Comics, in Lowell: Got the graphic novel version of "Death: The Time of Your Life" and the three issues of "Death: The High Cost of Living", as well as two recent issues of "Hellblazer". ((By the way, Happy Birthday, John Constantine, either version.)) And I now know what I'm getting myself for my birthday, besides getting this computer fixed:

They got the 7-piece set of "Sandman" figurines! I saw that on top of one of the racks of boxes of comics, and I nearly started drooling... $40.00, but it's worth it! ::Plans to toss paper wads at the figure of Despair when she's poking me with her hook::

I also bought the movie novelization of (Don't throw things at me) "Catwoman"; I'm tempted to get the comic-book tie-in, but the artwork is atrocious (Besides the obvious, they screwed up the Lambert Wilson character's nose.).
