I never posted about Mother's Day...
It was rather quiet, the way it usually is. I cooked lunch for my mom (doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you consider how much I really don't like cooking, this was a tremendous effort for me); I also gave her a (slightly but gently used) copy of Shusuku Endo's novel "Silence", a historical novel about the hardships of a Catholic mission in Japan in the 1600s. She'd been looking for this book for ages, and I finally found it for her on Amazon.com a few weeks back. She was utterly thrilled with that gift!
