I came home and turned on the computer to check my messages/LiveJournal friends page, when I found this waiting for me:

I thought maybe it was a false alarm, but then I went on the MxO site and found this:

I saw that coming. Maybe it was the close call/false alarm/red herring that Paul Chadwick and company threw past us, when it looked like the Merv was going to be the first canon casualty. I don't know why I saw that coming, but I did.

I'm finding it just as disturbing and frustrating. One of the first things that went through my mind, once I started to get over the initial shock was a line you've used quite often: "Peace is not an MMORPG". I'm halfway between alternating levels of reality half the time, so I don't need these imbeciles adding these idiotic details, which only disturb me and some of my mental guests. I'd throw in the towel on following the MxO, if one of us in the Houseparty didn't have a hobby of mocking some of the occassionally-seen screenshots of himself, and if my core self didn't have that unholy fascination with it, the same way people rubber-neck at road accidents or crime scenes.
