Things are Looking up

I got last week's paycheck today, and to my suprise, it was slightly over $100 US. I'm setting $50 from each paycheck to save up for an... unexpected and unwelcome medical expense that came up recently, which after paying my room and board, left me with $25. Somebody likes me!
I did a little window-shopping with my folks tonight: My dad is trying to collect a set of small toy cars with Norman Rockwell scenes painted on them, so we nipped up to the Toys-R-Us up in Salem, New Hampshire. I poked around looking at plush animals and the stray Lord of the Rings item or two I ran across... I almost bought a set of Playmobil-type LOTR figures, but my budget's a bit tight, as we know. But it was great just to browse around a bunch of cuddly toys and hug a few of 'em, including a sturdy plush unicorn that a small kid could sit on. I would have loved to have had one when I was about seven or eight: even to this day, I still love unicorns.
