...Till you have heard it through earbuds. Just got my first pair of them -- cheapies bought at the local dollar store; I've been using headphones on the laptop almost since I got it -- and I am blown away by them. I've been testing them using different pieces by different artists (Debussy, Dave Brubeck, Celtic Thunder, Hans Zimmer, Rammstein, Daft Punk -- Nobody ever said I didn't have eclectic tastes), giving them a bit of a work out. I've found I have to turn the volume down considerably, since these seem to have a heck of a lot more oomph to them than conventional headphones, such as I'd been using.
My only concerns: they block other sounds out a little too well, plus I think I'm going to have to take a little time to adjust to having the music playing Right In My Ear. This is very novel and rather exciting, since it allows me to hear certain nuances of sound that I thought were just the result of my senses playing tricks on me.
