Lo and behold, the Computer Lab is still open (and I was able to use the quick and dirty stop on the way to the wretched bus stop at the darn terminal...). I'm in the process of downloading the MP3s of Pazu's fan novelization of "A.I.", which I'm, burning onto audio disks, and make it easier to listen to. It looks like I'll only have time for Part One, but I'm cool with that. I'll burn the next part from the CyberCafe... if they ever find out what the hell was making the comps there sooo... daaaarrrn... ssslllloooowwww. (Besides the fact that the stupid kids download every spyware-raddled program on the 'Net.)
I'm also posting something I should have mentioned last night: I'm going out with my folks tonight, specifically to the Vokes Theatre in Wayland; we're seeing their production of Moliere's "The Educated Ladies" -- and if it's anything like their production of "The Imaginary Invalid" a few years back, it's liable to be hysterical. I'm not sure when we'll be back, so I may not be on AIM till after midnight, if at all.
Three "Constantine" icons: the first two are from the comic-book adaptation, the last one is the mugshot glimpsed in the movie, on Angela's computer screen. Made these with Paint and MS Photo Editor, and I'm very proud of them! Take if you like, but please give credit. Thanks!

LMAO XD
Date: 2005-08-04 08:11 pm (UTC)I just wanted you to know that me and my friends had a great laugh about those topics - and especially about your passion about wasting your time on such a childish negativity.
Geez you people have nothing better to do that flaming a young and successful girl. I guess that a practising Catholic just cannot stand another 24-year-old Catholic model and Graphic Designer with looks and brains and attitude - and success, I might add.
Well, too bad.
*laughing all the way to the bank*
I rest my case.
God forgive all your sins.
Amen.

Your blows are below the belt - or they would be if they were not copy-pasted almost word for word.

Date: 2005-08-05 03:05 pm (UTC)What does charity have to do with the fact that her fan fic was flamed? Cause I'd like to know.
Oh, I love you too. TAKE ME NOW XD))

God forgive all your sins.
Honey, be careful as you seem to be succumbing to one of the 7 deadly sins. As you're a Catholic, I'm sure you'll guess which one it is. ;)

Date: 2005-08-05 04:31 pm (UTC)Today in this world, we are too egocentric – we think about our own well-being before the well-being of others.
This is coming from the model that's obviously obsessed with herself. You've got to be kidding me.
We are so busy with reaching the top of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
Basic Psychology dictates that Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a fundamental method of human survival, so does it really surprise you that everyone does it?
You, in reality, are probably the most most blatantly hypocritical person that exists.
It's absolutely impossible to argue or even reason with you in any manner, because all you do is cut-and-paste this bullshit about world peace as your retort. Grow some wit for fuck's sake.
And it’s not about donating $1.000.000 to Save the Children or Red Cross. It’s not about dedicating your lives to charity.
Yes, because you're obviously the poster role-model for all good-doers of the world. We should obviously all set the example that YOU'VE made, because you're the most innocent, forgiving, and enlightened being on this planet.
Thanks for the tip, Buddha.
Re: to answer your email
Date: 2005-08-05 05:34 pm (UTC)And, in regards to your urge to change our strategy: I'm a Londoner and had family and friends on those trains who had to be hospitalised. I lost seven family members to the southeast Asian tsunami. My pets have come from shelters, and I worked for social services to place refugees and the destitute in homes. I am not trying to evoke sympathy or commendation- I merely want to call to attention the fact that you are in error to so blithely assume that you are the only beacon of light in our troubled times. If you truly want to make a difference as you seem to, quit your modelling jobs and work for your local orphanage, senior's centre, animal shelter, soup kitchen, or homeless shelter. Take a nine-to-five job that pays minimum wage but which actually makes a difference in the lives of men, women and children who have no hope for it otherwise. Be selfless in your dedication, stay up long hours fueled on by the fact that you are making a difference, that you are accomplishing something for the good of mankind.
Once you do this, then you can tell us about how how have the urge to help. Then, perhaps we'll believe you.

Date: 2005-08-06 02:16 am (UTC)And I'd like to add that my dad's co-worker lost some of his cousins still living in Sri Lanka, while some of them barely survived when a wave washed their car off a coastline road. My mother has a penpal whose husband, a doctor, works with one of the Christian relief groups in India: we haven't heard from Kaye since before the Tsunami, and we've tried to contact her, but without any luck. I'm not asking for sympathy: I'm just pointing out that I've been affected by these tragedies, too.
