Cake and a strange sunset
Oct. 16th, 2005 12:20 amI was on my way to work, running between the raindrops, when I almost slipped on something on the pavement of the parking lot...
Looking down, I found it was a slice of cake. Chocolate, no less. I'm not making that up: the Merv's hostess (what *do* you call yourself, in regard to your soulbond?) tripped on a slice of chocolate cake.
Later on, as I was finishing up an order, this orange-red light shining through the front windows caught my attention. I looked up, wondering what it could be: my first guess was a spotlight on a truck or something, and then for some wierd reason, I wondered if it could be a light on a UFO...
It was the sun, shining through the clouds, just before it set. I mean, the clouds around it were black, so it stood out brilliantly.
And then, as if it couldn't get wierder, the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" comes on the canned music. Life imitates art imitates life, indeed!
