I can't get up the courage to send anything out to get it published. Even my fanfics are crud. ((To the bitch who flamed the "Sandman" fic I posted on ff.n: It's a prose poem; it doesn't have to have a plot. If you can't accept that kind of writing, whatever you do, *DON'T* read Brian Aldiss, because none of his short stories have plots, either.)) I can't keep working at this dead-end job among all these stupid, uncaring, idiotic, childish, selfish adult brats. I can't get the hell started with anyone because I'm cursed with the shadows of a bad relationship and because I simply don't fit the stupid standards of "what men really want".

I know the days are dark, but hang in there! Your writing is excellent. Never doubt it. (I know you will anyway, we all do when it comes to our own stuff, but it had to be said.)

Thanks for the virtual hug and the very helpful words of encouragement! (Maybe some day, I'll be able to return it for real...) I was talking with Puck about this incident last night and she helped me through it: I think she even said she was considering sending that nasty reviewer an email that was as condescending as that person's review... I'm very blessed to have friends like you and her!
