It was all I could do to keep from posting: "Okay, galpal, put down the Twilight books and/or the Dresden Files books and back away from them. Overdosing on vampire media of choice and then flipping through "The Psychic Vampire Codex" once does not an energy phage make. It's not a matter of believing that you're a phage, it's a matter of *knowing* that you are. Awakening, from what I can tell, is a gradual process and while it happens differently for different people, I think the safest bet is to let an Awakening happen on its own. Otherwise, it reflects badly on the rest of us, and it perpetrates the myth that all phages are out to recruit kids into their numbers (gee, what other demographic have I heard that canard leveled against?)."

Hmm. I usually tell them that, like religion, vampirism is something you can only decide for yourself by knowing it in your heart.

To be honest though, I've seen a lot worse than this. This girl at least was asking. Others have pulled a, "my buddy says I am so I MUST be," and some have gone the "I AM A DARK QUEEN OF THE NIGHT" route.
