In this post feel free to ask ME ANYTHING ABOUT MY FANDOM OPINIONS. That means, who I ship and why, fav characters, least favorite, if I like this that. ANYTHING. BE WARNED. I AM GOING TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST WITH MY REPLIES. So if you don't want to really know what I think about something don't ask. My opinions are not always the popular ones.

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] tomboy_typist and I promise to do better about answering this than I have in the past:

choose a puppet and I will tell you:
+ the last thing they did on screen
+ the last thing they did offscreen
+ the last thing they did out of RP canon (if applicable)
+ why I picked them up
+ how I got into that fandom
+ the last thing they want in life
+ the most important event of their lives (in RP canon)
+ the person they would miss the most
+ their dying words
+ three random, quirky facts about them.

Pups in play (or soon to be, at least): Asato Tsuzuki and Kazutaka Muraki, from "Yami no Matsuei"; Parsifal from the Wagner opera of the same name; Ryuk from "Death Note"; Riku Miyagusuku from "Blood +"; Titus Groan from "Gormenghast"

matrixrefugee: the word 'refugee' in electric green with a background of green matrix code (Christianity as a fandom)
Nicked from several journals...

Give me a character from any fandom, tv show, movie, book you know that I know and I will tell you:

a. My favorite thing about that character.
b. My least favorite thing about that character.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own verse.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat.
e. One crossover universe for them I think would be even neater.
f. Their ship from hell.
g. Their song.
h. The title of their biography or autobiography.
i. The last bad dream they had.
j. How they're gonna shuffle off the mortal coil, if they haven't already.

I figured since I posted a big ol' post about my views on slash, that I'd add in a bit about other pairings (ie. things not really touched on in the Teal Deer that I can see happening based on evidence in the canon/mythos (I've started to get away from using the word "canon", since it smacks of religious overtones, and it's personally bothersome, especially when you get some fans who are as wacky about some things in fandom as religious fanatics are about their interpretation of the tenets of their faith. I like the word "mythos": hey, it worked for H.P. Lovecraft). Bear in mind, though, I tend to shy away from graphic sex scenes, depending on the mood I'm in. But with me, the key in everything is *GOOD WRITING*.

Just brought a bag of Beanie Babies (and some "wannabeanies", ie. beanbag stuffed animals that aren't Beanie Babies but wish they were...) to the Toys for Tots bin at work, and also got my hours for the week: I have ten hours! Yahoo! I guess I got a chance to play St. Nicholas today.

I'm tempted to ask someone to put a Santa hat on my Muraki icon, but I guess if I'm going to stick any Santa hats on any White-Haired Pretty Boys of fandom, it would be safer to stay with the Santa-hatted Flood icon. The least that would happen is he'd get really pissy about it and possibly scream about his hair getting messed-up, but he wouldn't pull anything too nasty (unless the culprit was one of the Merv's operatives, in which case, he'd send them on a suicide mission...). If anyone put a Santa hat on the guy I've begun referring to as "the killer snowflake who eats speshul snowflakes" (well, anyone but his ladyfriend who's only seen in the manga), I'm sure he'd find an especially creative and painful blend of magic and science to kill them.

I've also been beating away ideas for a Dresden Files/YnM crossover. Granted, it could work, but I don't have the time or creative energy to plot another fanfic right now. Meifu likely exists somewhere in the Never-Never, and I don't doubt Muraki is a White Court vampire: I keep hearing Thomas referring to him as "my crazy cousin Kazutaka". Plus, it would be funny to watch Harry and Molly trying to deal with Tsuzuki and Hisoka: I can see Molly crushing a bit on Hisoka, though the snarky young shinigami is unlikely to reciprocate; she might have better luck with Tsuzuki, though I have a feeling the bouncy one with the sweet tooth would be on the bad side with Harry for running up the food bill.

Yes, that should be "things", I'm in a wacky mood at the moment:

My stocking has been hung up over at [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking, so if anyone wants to stick something in it, feel free to do so over here: http://community.livejournal.com/fandom_stocking/41681.html

Although I feel like it.

Mind you, I have no issue with winter. I love the snow, I love looking at it, I love playing in it, I really don't mind walking in it. What I *DO* mind, is my town taking a lackadaisical attitude toward clearing the sidewalks. I don't drive, I can't drive due to my Asperger's Syndrome, so walking is my primary mode of transportation. I need clear sidewalks in order to get to and from work in a timely manner. I had a bad day at work, thus heading home to find the sidewalks on my street were still unplowed finished me off. I had one of my meltdowns, and I haven't had one in weeks. Granted, it happened at home and my mother was there to hold me and keep me from thrashing around too badly, but still. She has a severe depression problem, and I hate adding to her burdens.

Consequently, my nerves are shot to bits, I feel like crap and I can't enjoy things like lighting my menorah and helping my dad bring in our Christmas tree.

I just want to live my life like other people. I just want to go to my job and work and earn my pay. But I cannot do that unless people around me help make life a little easier because of the restrictions this condition puts on my ability to accomplish the things I am trying to do.

If I wasn't Catholic, I think I'd be trying out some kind of sympathetic magic to nudge the lazy Department of Public Works workers into going out and plowing the damn sidewalks. But I'm a firm believer in the Rule of Three, so even then, it'd be out of the question.

I might just stay home from work and call it a mental health day. Since I will be calling the DPW and *HAUNTING* them until they plow the expletive-deleted sidewalks.

But, more pleasant things: I found a nifty little fandom community called [livejournal.com profile] fandom_stocking that I'm giving a shot at. I might make some folks some fannish presents to stuff in theirs, if I can get the emotional energy to do that. Here's mine:

And, oh yes, draggies:

Waah, how'd I miss out on this? They had a forum sig-making contest on the MxO forum, wherein folks were asked to make a sig for the in-gamer version of the Snarky Fellow. I wish I'd known about this sooner, I'd have done something involving the "Cogito, Ergo Snark" motto from the RP/personal journal, or maybe "Don't hate me just because I'm beautiful", which both the in-game version and the headspace version have used -- and yes, the headspace version uttered that line first. Then I was thinking, with all the Flood-hating that seems to go on, that the smart-alecks would have a field day with it, but as I looked at the thread, I was relieved that there were only two mischief-makers and one of them was really funny, so I couldn't get mad at them. I'm tempted to swipe some of them for my personal collection:

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/Degu5000/Mimosasig2.jpg This one made me laugh.

http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/5409/floodsig3ob.jpg I love this one: it's something I see the headspace version do on a regular basis.

http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/2383/flood8bs.jpg The mischievous one. Click and you'll see why I couldn't help laughing.

http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4087/floodelegant5vy.jpg Lovely!

And if you're wondering what's been keeping me busy lately besides work and spring cleaning, there was a contest in my MxO faction wherein we had to collect as many red code frags (used in crafting abilities or objects) as we could possibly find, since the gang spawn was dropping more code frags. In a bizarre turn of events, I/Sieges won the challenge. But here's a funny video that Breech, one of my buddiesm and a former faction member, made about the frag-drop: http://www.zippyvideos.com/1139369974893896/danceswithfrags1/*breech9913
